Some impressive facts:

Cybercab features 50% fewer parts than a Model 3! That represents a huge reduction in production cost / time, as well as increased reliability from less parts that could possibly fail.

Cybercab will be the first vehicle to be produced using a new "Unboxed Process"

Here's a comparison diagram of the traditional car assembly process vs Tesla's new upcoming 'unboxed' process.

Awesome. Just wish they added pedals and wheel that popped out from floor and dash, respectively. This would have been my summer vehicle 😂. Cheap version of the roadster

As more info comes out, we know now that the whole design process was to make the car as efficient as possible for its sole purpose of being a robo taxi. It's really a city taxi-type car, not meant for a driver...No mirrors, no pedals, no steering wheel, less glass, etc. It was an exercise in big-time efficiency / cost reduction...

All the people on an assembly line are working in parallel, just on different cars, so where is the advantage?

Why? They are probably not producing more cars per hour, and I'm betting they aren't using less parts than a Model T either. 😄

If it takes an hour to bake a cake, then I can average 1 cake per minute by using 60 ovens.

For vehicles, they are manufactured in "parallel" by having many, many vehicles on the line. If the same result is possible with fewer vehicles in-process, then there will be less capital expenditure on equipment, floor space, etc.

Or, if you prefer: the same vehicles-per-hour can be achieved with a smaller footprint.

So they are claiming, we shall see. It will be hard to judge with the Robotaxi supposedly having 50% fewer parts. I'm not holding my breath. I remember Elon's attempt to speed up production by running robots at warp speed. 😁
