Cybercab will be "roadtrip capable" over long distances due to wireless charging

I was too. Their video showed 19kW on the induction charger I believe. Quite the decent L2 charging speed, but not road trip-able whatsoever. Like you said, specs aren’t out yet, but it’d be hard to imagine wireless charging getting anywhere in the same neighborhood as a supercharger. Of...

Painted tire sidewall are now rubber inserts (hopefully swappable for color changes)

That was just one of the options, and it’s not baseless. They’ve already done it with the Cybertruck and they’re still dealing with the aftermath well over a year later. You’re on the CTOC forum and should know that. Just let tires be the tires the manufacturer intended.

    Waymo is crap

Cybercab will probably have thousands of perfect trips, then one like this. The one like this is all people will talk about.

Painted tire sidewall are now rubber inserts (hopefully swappable for color changes)

I am certain. Again, they’re either sidewall inserts (meaning they sliced out some of the actual sidewall) or wheel cover extensions (meaning the extensions will touch the sidewall, especially as it bulges at the bottom where the tire meets the road), either way that compromises the sidewall...

Painted tire sidewall are now rubber inserts (hopefully swappable for color changes)

They’re compromising the integrity of the sidewall for a mile or 2 of range per charge tops. Not worth it. Covered wheels offer 10-15 miles per charge over uncovered wheels. Do you really think these things are worth the price of special custom tires and the risk of a sidewall blowout?

Painted tire sidewall are now rubber inserts (hopefully swappable for color changes)

First the Cybertruck wheel cover fiasco now this? Whether those are wheel cover extensions or tire sidewall inserts I wish Tesla would just let tires be tires until they can make cars fly. It’s getting to be a bit much at this point.

Breaking: Tesla Robotaxi fleet service w/ Unsupervised FSD will launch in Austin in June 2025

This is finally it. 2025 is the year that “end of the year” has been referring to (he never said which year) 🤣

New video of Tesla robot vacuum cleaner for Robotaxis

I agree vandalism could be a huge issue when someone is alone with the car. Cybertruck is getting a lot of hate and I’m sure this will too. Of course they’ll know exactly who did it and can ban them and give their info to police. They just need a positive ID type of system before allowing...

Spotted: Wireless charging being tested at Giga Texas?

An induction charging mat plugged into a 110 outlet would be pretty unusable. Plugging in directly to those outlets already takes 24+ hours to charge a car 0-80% so induction would be even worse.

Spotted: Wireless charging being tested at Giga Texas?

Not sure if they’ll offer a home charger for CC yet. Might have to have it go to a supercharger location to charge wirelessly unless they include a charge port somewhere.

Spotted: Wireless charging being tested at Giga Texas?

Not sure why they would hide it at this point. We saw the video of it, I wouldn’t be overly excited about seeing them test it. Could be something totally new, who knows lol

Cybercab Tee T-Shirt available in Tesla shop

That logo… Cybercab is like Cybertruck’s little brother that follows him around and copies his every move 🤣

There are STILL doubters out there

https://www.fastcompany.com/91262447/elon-musk-keeps-hyping-up-his-self-driving-robotaxis-can-he-deliver It boggles the mind that people still, in 2025, doubt Tesla will solve autonomy. It’s no question if they can do it, the only question is when. Anyone who doubts that doesn’t have enough...

    Cybercab w/ Steering Wheel Spotted

Video: Cybercab engineer talks design, features, new "Unboxed" production process

That one is current Teslas - what we have today (or, at least, once we get unsupervised FSD - fingers crossed for later this year). Cybercab will be beyond what movies ever envisioned.
