So the Cybercab robotaxi has smaller front 18" wheels and larger rear 21" wheels which gives it a stance and unique look, but is this an aesthetic choice or are there potential performance benefits from the staggered wheels and tires sizes?

Does this setup somehow improve the Cybercab's handling or ride quality? Maybe it somehow benefits range, efficiency, brake regeneration? Will this staggered fitment even be on the production Cybercab?

BTW here's the front and rear wheel tires specs on the Cybercab prototypes --

215/60R18 front tires
225/60R21 rear tires

I missed your posting. This is on my short list of 3 suggestions for Tesla regarding the Cybercab...

1) Make front and rear wheels the same size. Easier for tire rotations and longer life.
2) Install a charging port, even if it's just L2 only. There will be times when I want to charge the car and don't have the wireless equipment to use (or I want to charge a stranded Cybercab from my Cybertruck with a cable).
3) Make the trunk latch easier to see and use. People will be confused about how to raise the trunk.

1) Kind of doubt Tesla is going to even bother with tire rotations even if they were all the same size. CC is likely going to drive very cautiously and the tires won’t wear as fast. There certainly won’t be any launching on green lights like, I hope, the rest of us do.
2) 100% agree, that needs to happen. Inductive chargers are probably going to be more expensive than SCs and take longer. I’d rather let the CC make money for me for awhile then come home to charge.
3) There will probably be an easily noticeable way to open the trunk on the app when a CC arrives to pick someone up

fyi, I have 75K miles on Michelin Defender II tires on my Model 3. The warranty is 75K miles and I have quite a bit of tread left. Why is this? Because I was able to easily rotate tires several times over the life of the tire to even out the wear. As a second comment, I don't want to be locked in to tires that have a painted gold circle on them either. That should be easy enough to fix...

After thinking about my trunk comment, I agree that the app or screen will be the way to go for passengers. You don't want random people approaching the car and raising the trunk...

Sheesh, I only got 20K out of the P Zeros on my 3. Now I’m on the first set of tires on the CB, we’ll see how this goes.
