Old people should be the first to go to Mars because the first ones to go are most likely to die.

We should force all the smart octogenarians to go first.
Not an octogenarian (yet) but sign me up!

Thanks for saying Dids on his truck! But I also want Dids in his truck.
Careful what you wish for. In the other thread the discussion is hunting. I know many people tie their kill to the roof.

On a truck? Why not just put it in the bed?

Yeah, but it's the grizzled and bitter ones that tend to survive everything. And, they'll just stand around yelling, "Get off my lawn!" when everyone else arrives later.

Luckily their voice wonā€™t carry so well in the thinner atmosphere of Mars. Yell all you want oldies!

Okā€¦ I said ā€œSmart old peopleā€. My thought being they would have a decent chance of surviving long enough to get some things done. Itā€™s far more valuable if you get someone onto the planet and they live for 5-10 years and help the Teslabots figure out how to make the planet habitable.

If weā€™re just talking about sending people to die, it would likely be more effective just launching fertilizer.

Obviously the original idea wasnā€™t entirely serious.

Nobody has said anything, so I decided to start a conversation. The Tesla stock is taking a pretty good hit at this point, and Barron's says it's because people were anticipating a split or big news. Thoughts?

Personally, I hadn't put much anticipation and was in wait and see mode. Kinda like all the speculation about the Quad motor.
Can you make #LoudMouthElon shut his trap? Tesla is my biggest holding and it's hemorrhaging. i wish Musk will just focus on producing the much delayed Semis and Cybertruck which would arrest the slide.

ā€œHemorrhagingā€ usually means something other than ā€œ30% higher than it was 2 months agoā€.

I got burned by some stupid short term plays too, but Tesla is doing quite well so long as youā€™ve held it for at least 90 days. (Maybe less than that, Iā€™d have to dig numbers) If youā€˜ve owned for a year it is A+ā€¦ longer than that, you are a multi-bagger and got nothing to complain about.

You only lose if you sell.
