I was posting about an article on the local TV channel website. Apparently Utah got some funding for the largest Hydrogen project in the USA. Anyway.

Note the toxicity rating. I typed in "don't be stupid" just to see what would happen and I got 81% toxic.

I didn't play around with it too much other than to insert the word stupid to see how the score changed. I think it just looks for combative language. I seriously doubt it fact checks. Still I thought it is a step in the right direction.

I wonder if it can tell the difference between plain stupid and not so stupid.

Interesting though, maybe there will be a form of grammar dedicated to toxicity if we keep going like this.

My point is if a local TV station could do it a really good AI bot could probably do it better.
A coveted truth score and maybe civil discourse score should be included. I am all for getting Trump and anybody else their Twitter voice back under these conditions.

Free speech means free for those you don't like. I like the idea of a truth meter like Snopes uses. That could be a great way to keep the freedom and inform on the validity. What I don't like is the government being the one that is deciding the "truth" . Governments are propaganda machines. While accountability can be found it is never up front.

Honestly, I find it kind of refreshing. So much of corporate America is spin, and managing optics, and saying exactly the right thing. I'll take the brilliant dork who doesn't always spin it the right way, but over delivers every time.
