I wouldn't get your hopes up. When the revealed CyberTruck was sporting a 6.5' bed I thought the Cyberlander was still too short for its form factor. I'm afraid that losing half a foot (or more with cab overhang) of floor room is going to make it just too darned small for too many of its prospective customers. The designers have to take into account the total addressable market to determine if decide if units sold, divided by engineering/building costs will reap reasonable margins. It would've been tight before, I think it would be sure money loser now. ??

I think the bed space is one thing to consider but also the range and how any of these designs change the drag, along with the added weight.

Yeah, I may have to cancel my Cyberlandr reservation.

I put money down to reserve the cyberlandr based on what Elon promised regarding range (500 miles) and capacity.

My plan was to visit National Parks with the truck and the Landr. Now with the reduced range and size of the bed, I'm not sure it's a possibility. We dont know how much the Cyberlandr weighs and how it will effect the range. Tesla's range extender completely eliminates the possibility of fitting the Cyberlandr in the bed. I'm really bummed about this and may consider the Pebble camper instead.

Wish TESLA made the range extender flat to lay in the bed. So then maybe the cyberlandr can sit on top? Considering that the storage bin under the bed will become completely useless with the cyberlandr installed, Tesla could have used that space for range extended batteries. Heck, even the space under rear seats or the frunk for that matter would have been better IMHO.

Anyhow..check pebblelife.com. I think it's smart to have a camper with its own battery and motor...but then you will need 2 chargers. No easy solution out there yet.

Ok, rant over :)

That Pebble Life RV is pretty freakin' cool...except for the $109K or $125K price tag.

Cyberlandr was super compelling, but with the range of the CT going from 500+ to maybe under 200 on the highway, I don't think it would be possible to make it from one supercharger to another with the amount of drag and range drop the Cyberlandr would have :(

You wouldn't drive with cybrlander popped up...it fits under the vault cover, so only extra rolling resistance. ;)

Doesn't it weigh like 1,800 lbs fully loaded though? Didn't assume it would be folded out to 11' going down the highway :) but 1800lbs has got to be a drag on range?

Maybe "drag on range" was the wrong terms, weight causing less efficiency would be better

No worries.
Or "rolling resistance" Is what most use, which is dependent on mass.

I don't know about Cybercamper, but SpaceCamper ( https://spacecampers.com/ ) sent out an email today detailing their production plans. I've already reserved one.
It seems like campers will make a 'large' difference for sleepers since the bed is fairly 'short' and especially awkward with that slope. Stretching the sleeping area out to the apex gives a lot more room.
