We received a kit as well and spent most of Sunday applying it. We are very happy with the results. We followed every step to clean, neutralize and prep, which made the truck even cleaner than the day we got it from the showroom. Now the coating has locked that in. It's harder to take pictures now because it is so reflective compared to how dirty it had gotten being driven around Dallas for two months.
We went pretty slowly. We also taped off all of the plastic rather than remover fenders, etc. We went heavy with the BKF, so it took a while with Windex and just clean water to get all of that residue off. We then went pretty quickly on the coating itself, but went as thin as we could to avoid sags and runs. The whole process took about six hours. It's now curing in the garage for a few days.
Like the video, we only used about half of one quart. We will probably find some thin spots after it cures and use a little more, but they really do give you a ton of product in case you want to go heavy or need to recoat, etc.
The truck is more reflective now at certain angles. In these pictures you can see that just the differences in the facets of each side offer different reflections under the bright garage lights.
