And the design is butt. Trying to capitalize on nostalgia by selling a completely unrelated and uninteresting design simply by connecting the name to the nostalgia is a losing situation. Clearly money grab.
I was highly disappointed. Was eagerly on the list prior to announcement, but once...
Or how about not generalizing all detractors as luddites.
Many detractors see blind faith in a single person to the point of worship as a red flag, despite personally agreeing with the motives and goals, or hoping that he succeeds in achieving or assisting the arrival of those goals.
There are...
Im not threatened by his accomplishments relative to my own. Im pointing out that celebrating someones accomplishments and hard work while overlooking their severely flawed character is re-enforcing/rewarding/and or ignoring their bad behavior. I don't need to spend my time pointing out all...
Idiocracy is a great movie. Musk is not in any way related to it. And to think that he is leading us away from that path is yet another form of worshipping him. He's not our savior. Some of his projects might help, but he alone will not save us.
Being a genius in a couple businesses does not preclude you from being a complete moron in every other aspect of your life, or any other businesses you are involved in.
Dude is a moron. People on here worship him. His shit stinks like the rest of us. Frat boy attitude is cool in your early...
Agreed. STFU and get over yourself you supposed eccentric genius. Worst part of having an interest and appreciation for Tesla engineering and vehicles is dealing with the schmuck at the top, and hearing all the fanboys obsess over how awesome he is.
Average people don't try and repair things themselves. They hire people to.
Right to repair is both for the non average owner willing and able to do their own repairs, and the professional repair man not employed by Tesla to repair things through access to the replacement parts.
I don't think it should be 6 grand new.. but I do think that pricing a motorcycle at 17k with specs less than the competitors nearest comparable model which is 2-5k cheaper and also has nearly twice the range is the definition of overpriced.
Can't wait for Tesla to start producing electric motorcycles and putting these manufacturers to shame for both pricing and specs. Then maybe we'll have some realistic options that aren't a complete rip off!
It's like they release these things expecting them to fail, then pricing them with crappy specs to ensure they do fail. But try to rip off the few people that actually bite in the meantime. Every decision Harley makes pushes me more and more to hoping they go out of business!
On a lighter...
This joke of a product launch is continuing to provide hits!
So they announced the pricing would be $17,600 for the limited edition version last may and the production version close to $15k. Today they launched reservations for the production version, with pricing updated to $17k.. a meager...
No real photographer in 2022 makes fun of someone using legit photo gear. Those real photographers that do.. are amateur photographers.
BTW, Sony mirrorless cameras are excellent tools.
Pretty soon rabid fans will be willing to pay half the price of their full vehicle.. just to get a computer to drive them around. And they will bitch about the price of the vehicle going up 7k a year, but not the price of FSD doubling every year for fractional increases of functionality.
FSD...
I assume its been mentioned in other threads, but I don't see any thread devoted to it.
I see many articles mentioning the EV credit for motorcycles is no longer included in the final bill, but I also see that the way the bill is written does not specifically preclude 2 or 3 wheeled vehicles...
Uh.. you get a bill of sale with MSRP from Tesla. No different than at any other dealership. Don't get hung up on the definition of a simple word. Making something out of nothing.
