As a Texan I have to vote for “I’m not entirely sure Texas’ electricity will be around much longer.”

Geez, I had to downgrade to Opera to get that to load x-x

Your primary browser is not compatible with The Onion website? I don't know what "x-x" means. I just used the plain-Jane MS Edge browser that came on my HP laptop and it worked fine. What were you using?

Edge is a terrible browser that lets all the tracking and side-loading. That Onion article was a type of page that fake-loads ads and cookies in the background as you scroll over each segment. It's used to defraud advertisers.

Anyhow, yes, Safari and Chrome couldn't load it and I don't have an up to date version of Firefox, so I had to go back down to Opera which used to be super-good about privacy and user-interface but then they company was sold.

I couldn't see this using Edge, FireFox, Chrome and Brave.

I kind of let The Onion fall off my radar. But this was amusing. Might start reading again, even with the website compatibility issues. Damn good satire, many of the answers feel like the "reasons" I get from the most ill informed of the anti-EV crowd in my town.
