This is also a very boomer take on modern rideshare systems. I have used Waymo numerous times. Is it 100% perfect? No. But I'll take quirks like walking a block over to get in rather than deal with the typical Uber driver who dumps perfume in their car while playing mumble rap.

I bet she was looking at the pickup location on the map the whole time, and I bet it instructed her to make her way over to it several minutes before arrival. She stood on the awkward opposing corner on purpose so she could do her fake news thing.

Can't stand these people lying as a profession.

at least Waymo is making people feel comfortable with autonomous car which is important for Tesla Cybercab. The fear of riding driverless car and to trust the technology is the first hurdle. I don't watch or trust Youtubers-human beings are dangerous drivers b/c of Emotion & cell phone.

It was a news reporter from channel 7 and a lot of people watched it. First impressions speak volumes. Now, if it got her there with zero errors, people would be wanting to try it out. As it stands the trust factor went down. Cyber cab needs to be better, it has to be…….cause everyone will be watching.
