Big Brother, not God, is now your copilot and he will know EVERYTHING about you. Where you go, your driving habits, your favorite radio chanels, this information will be sold by auto companies, used by insurance companies and by our government.
Your car can and will collect as much (if not more) information on you as your smartphone does, so be afraid.
We need new privacy laws.
In May, US-based automotive firm Privacy4Cars released a new tool, dubbed the Vehicle Privacy Report, that reveals how much information on your car can be hoovered up. Much like Apple and Google’s privacy labels for apps—which show how Facebook might use your camera, or how Uber might use your location data—the tool indicates what vehicle manufacturers can know.
