I don't own the stock (yet) so, I say let him say whatever he wants. You learn more about a person that way.

I prefer to judge people by what they do and not what they say, and by that metric Elon is ok. But there are a huge number of people that judge by what people say even if what they do is really great. In a fair world everyone can say what they want, when they want, but the more visibility a person has the less they should say. Lots of examples but they don't need to be voiced here.

I'm bigger on actions then words also, but we can still learn from about them by what is said.

Agree. Not sure what the point is. Too much work to try and reverse engineer the nonsense so I just ignore it. Its one thing to misspell the words here and there, but deliberately obfuscating every single comment is “ignore” worthy.


I wouldn’t use the term “Redneck” to describe someone as “Adventurous”. The phrase comes from describing farm hands or people who work in the sun all day. Often it’s used as an insult or in a self deprecating way. Dictionary suggests bumpkin and yokel as synonyms.

Not only did he lose the election but for years prior to the election they spent considerable time, effort and money to take voting rights away from people that might vote against them, sowed confusion/distrust in people for election system, sabotaged parts of election system networks (postal system mail in voting).

Even before that all failed ( the loss on election night) they had started planning for the coup attempt that happened on Jan 6, 2021.

tl;dr

We the living are who are traumatized to this day. Under our very noses, an affront to everything for which those of us who believe in freedom were attacked. Not just hit neither. The USA was attacked. Thousands of people died. Not just all at once. More than an hour went by as witnessed live on TV or in-person without a military-industrial complex response. Pathetic as the military was(from an ex185th ANG member speaking), leadership hightailed it away and huddled underground in SAC at Omaha. Then jack booted themselves to go blow up rocks in Afghanistan then Iraq ’cuz “men” in power project it. I digress…

2016 was never possible without 911. And today we remain in the upset aftermath of that terrible tragedy. There still is no closure, outlet nor answer to terrorist attack. Understand that we wouldn’t be this fucking divided were it not for a trauma inflicted upon the world.

The greatest amount of empathy, I witnessed the day after 911 at a stop light I mistimed a traffic signal and rolled forwardvinto the car ahead. we stopped. Acknowledge it was my fault and prepared to exchange informations and the dude was like “NBD” I can fix it. It was really a moment of shared trauma. A lesson that I continue to see that’s turned things hyper when they are NBD. Until they are!

Therein lies the trauma. And its that fact of not knowing what is important, critical and the hyper vigilance that ensues is the new NOW. Call it survivor’s guilt. Some of us carry a responsibility more solemly than before 911.

Eh…give the guy a pass on being a human sometimes, worse human at other moments — no one here should be throwing anything much less take aim. I’ve done 5 startups, 2 of my own and was raised in the automotive business. EM is running 5 businesses, 2 of his own concurrently and they all look to be landing simultaneously without ever being in any of those businesses prior. The dude does this everyday AND scores #1 influencer on social media that is known to drive people __________. SO he might have gone over the edge buying the little Blue Bird himself. Its his bird now, its his trophy now.

Let’s get back to Cybertruck, BEV industry and how that might turn not only OEM’s but the rest of the world off petroleum, against pollution and against pounding the living daylights out of your neighbor until submission. Its important for Russia and russians to be in a community of nations. Its rare earth metals are essential to ending petroleum - if there is ever to be one. As is UKA wheat to ending starvation which tips world order against humanity as hunger increases.

Cybertruck is one thing we can all agree on. IF Elon let’s us buy one.

Freedom of speech is about not being jailed for your speech,

It's not about being asked to leave a party for being too loud, It's not about being sued for libel. It's not about being allowed to stalk or harass people. It's not about being allowed to write toxic recipes. Or advertise jelly beans as nutritious when they're not. Or calorie free when they're not.

No one owes anyone a platform. And there are alot of penalties personal, commercial, civil... long before we get to criminal.

And freedom or speech doesn't apply to those, If you're lying about some minority, putting people in danger, celebrating violence... well, why should you be alowed the public square?

I agree with you. There are a lot of things I hear that are very upsetting whether there is an associated action or not. And I see plenty of actions that I hate seeing but no longer comment on because I am afraid of getting shot. It is more complicated than just what people say and what they do.

I own the stock and I agree, Elon does not give up his right to free expression simply because he took on a big job to help humanity. I encourage him to express himself however he wants.

It's up to the listener to take it or leave it. I also disagree that he is insecure (insecure people are very careful about what they say) and he certainly isn't a small man, he's one the greatest public figures of the 21st century (and he's not physically small either).

IMO, the woke crowd clings together hoping they can silence people who say things they don't want to hear. I have a better idea - stop listening to him if you don't like what he says, just ignore him. The fact that he gets under your skin says more about you than him.
