Might as well start rumor/expectations.

1000:1 stock split dolled out as 2:1 split every 3 months according to @Ogre ‘s dastardly plan.

I am not expecting anything earth shattering but would not mind being surprised with positive news.

I'm happy I traded my Pacifica Hybrid for a used Model X (2018 100D) last month. We're now a fully-EV household (Chevy Bolt, Model X) and I'm not looking back. Maybe my day-2 reservation comes up in late 2024 and I consider trading in the X. Maybe I don't. I'm not worrying about it anymore.

This is an earnings call. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment here.

No split news, no announcements about Cybertruck or new products.

Nothing zero zilch expectations

Tesla has not hinted in the slightest this will be anything beyond just a Q1 numbers call.

Decent chance they will announce when the annual meeting will be. Beyond that, this is a requirement of being a public company any little else.

Shareholders vote to increase share count at next shareholders meeting which prior to COVID was in June. During 2020 and 2021 shareholders meeting was moved to October. Whenever the meeting ends up, the actual split is likely shortly after that. So it could be June or October, or anywhen in between now and end of year.

Start Cybertruck production in October 2022 and ramping up into full capacity by 2023.

Only interesting tidbit on the call was reiterating the fact that they are confident that they will hit volume production on the Cybertruck in 2023.

Volume production usually means thousands per week so they aren’t planning on sliding 3 out on December 30th, they are planning on having the gears spinning.

Also… they crushed earnings this quarter. Pretty big beat. Up almost 5% after hours already. Hopefully we’ll get back into the $1,100 range in the next couple weeks.

Not a huge day for Tesla, but huge versus the macros.

Tesla is bit of green in a sea of red.

Hopefully we’ll realize all of these tailwinds before the truck comes out.
