Umm yeah ... and those people "sleeping in their cars" was actually an open tailgate with a pad for their dogs which were in the video.
I did see another video from the "event" where 2 hot girls were having sex on the hood of their F350 which was blocking a BEV spot, Did you miss that one?
She was there, was respectful and honest with her comments. You didn't watch the entire video nor did you read the Twitter thread yet you form opinions based upon nothing but anecdotal data. Yikes!
You don't think?
This is what the nice lady who made the video had to say on Twitter:
" The store was busy, probably because it had just recently opened. There were lots of parking spaces available. In fact, as soon as our car was done charging, we moved to a regular parking spot and then did...
They wouldn't host Supercharges if they had zero motivation. Tesla owners often frequent even cheesy stores during charge time and so are good for business. Also, Tesla owners are mostly gainfully employed or financially able to buy/not steal products hence, good potential customers.
Any...
As I understand it, in these commercial parking lot locations Tesla has an agreement with the host landowner/facility and Tesla builds/owns the Superchargers and all associated hardware. Tesla has the ability to write use rules into their agreement but enforcement would be impossible unless...
If you watch the entire video (I know painful) there were a few Supercharger Stalls open but later it was described as full of ICE vehicles with BEV's waiting and, there were regular non-EV parking spots available. When a person was asked why they did this, the answer was "why not".
Sorry to...
Seeing situations like this causes my blood to boil. While it could be described as a "first world problem", the ignorance/arrogance of these people is beyond comprehension.
I think Ford is serious about EV's and Farleys recognition of Tesla's dominate position in the EV space was refreshing. Tesla needs real competition and the Cybertrucks success or failure is a big deal. It's the trade off of high margins to influence the investor class, vs affordability that...
That's So Cal for you. In my over 2 years of driving the Model Y I have only experienced 1 full Supercharger location with 2 Tesla's waiting. That was a 16 Charger near a popular restaurant and I simply re-routed to another Supercharger location 12 miles away. California has the best EV charger...
Tesla got zero support from most private institutions and government. By getting Farley to publically "kiss the ring", Tesla gets institutional cred they did not have prior to this announcement and, it's consistent with their mission statement. As a shareholder, this was huge and the markets...
I wonder if that uptime statistic includes the EA 350's that are "open" but throttled back to 50kw charging with no explanation? The EA "system" shows a complete lack of a viable plan e.g. ready fire aim ...
It was good to see Jim Farley finally acknowledge Tesla's huge lead (quality and quantity) in EV charging infrastructure. In the original Twitterspace session (glitch free ;)) he said they (Ford) were standing on the platform watching the Tesla Train go though the station at 300 mph. Interesting...
