Hey all, just wanted to see what people think about it.
People are protesting about getting fired because they dont feel safe going back to work.
I live near fremont and know people who work there, it's long hours, hard work, for little pay(for the area).
I'm of the thought that if people are protesting outside your business, generally your doing something wrong.
if you live with elderly, or take care of them, etc. You shouldn't have to choose your job over protecting them. Tesla said go back to work or get fired
It's really sad to see and although I love Tesla and elon generally, I'm not sure I can support a company that cares more about profits than health and sefety.
This is far from the first, I had a friend working at the lathrop casting r&d building. (This was a couple years ago) He was saying several times a week ambulances were getting called because people were passing out.
There's a cost for trying to do too much too fast. Sadly it's always the grunts. Do better tesla
Having seen first hand unions paying non-union laborers to picket businesses because they did not higher union people (right to work state), I disagree with your premise.
As well, there is a lot of old information presented. Too many "I think", "I heard", and "I believe statements unsubstantiated.
You can stay home if you want. Your choice. After a while you need to make the choice of go to work or not. The government neither can nor should pay everyone to sit home without and end date. No business can. At some point you need to act.
I am in the thick of COVID-19. I live it every day. Seen all the bad. I have had co-workers sicked from taking care of those who are desperately ill. Do you want us tossing in the towel and hiding at home until it all goes away? We can. I'm in far, far greater danger than working a clean assembly line.
I may sound harsh to you, but until you wash the blood and bile off your shoes and need to shower and change before even thinking of driving home to your family then will I not be too concerned about that. Wear a mask. Wash your damn hands! Don't be toughing your face and it you have a temperature you call in sick. Believe it or not we went through this before in 1918. Exact same concerns, resistance to masks, closings, etc.
Still buying my Cybertruck.
