true. He was the president though right? Asking to leave would probs have to come from the man himself
It was probably mutual and, like most things in life, was a complex and difficult decision for everyone.

Wild speculation... So after 17 years with Munro a company probably offered him $$$ to put something together. Sandy probably tried to warn him off of it and spoke to him the way Sandy 'speaks'.

I'd say he got a development/board position at a number he couldn't refuse from a company in need.

That's just the story in my head until he pops up again and we all find out, which I guarantee he will.

his post copy and the video could be subterfuge, but he *seemed* genuine in saying he doesn’t know what he’s doing next and soliciting ideas ??‍♂

It's a shame one way, but although I like Munroe, he is getting long in the tooth sometimes and Cory was really there to keep things on track, at least production wise, if not also technically.

Without wanting to be rude, but sometimes the videos sounded like Monroe was trying to stay relevant in a changing world, and he often got emotional that also made the other presenters nervous or uncomfortable.

Sometimes I felt like Cory was having some "but dad" moments with Monroe.

Either way I wish them both well.

So long I don't have to write endlessly to keep them in line about the bleeping bleep bleep. :ROFLMAO:

I had noticed something a bit off between them too. Dang, they're breaking up the band!!

It happens.
He just couldn't handle the fame, it drove him to drugs, booze, and women. He needs to just step back and reset his clock. Don't say a word to Yoko!

I get that Yoko is breaking up the band. But is she going with Cory or with Sandy?

My guess it was a difference of opinion. Sandy Munro seems to have strong opinions. Cory seems to be more open-minded to researching facts. Sandy has always credited Cory with building their YouTube presence.

Cory is putting it out there via social media, for those who want to hire him and see what offers he will get out of it. (quicker than putting/filling out job applications - probably wants Tesla to hire him -- guessing)

Put Cory in charge of Tesla's media relations department... Or at least sanction a series where he breaks down Tesla advantages and shows why Tesla engineering is ahead of the competition.

I can see it now. Cory has the resistive heater from an F-150 and explains all the parts and the expected energy use while heating the cab. Then, he shows the Tesla heat pump, octo-valve, whatever.. and explains how much less energy it uses to heat the cab... Bam! Wa waa. Tesla wins

Just a little anecdote from me after 40 years in software....

"I don't know what I'm doing next" is usually code for "going to work for the competition"..... but it avoids the poaching accusations.
