The Rivian handled the load just fine. In fact the hemi Ram chase vehicle couldn't keep up with it on the on-ramp. It was described as a very comfortable, quiet ride, and very well controlled. Battery capacity is the problem when towing a pretty heavy load, up one the steepest sustained...
Not sure why the author thinks the battery will be in the front of the vehicle instead of the rear... Obviously not familiar with EVs, battery would likely be under middle of vehicle, like almost every other EV...
Misleading title, they are being traded in, not taken off the road. Tesla isn't paying you market value for a car and then sending it to the recycler...
I like my Bolt, can't park it in the garage anyway. Hope I can pick up a second Bolt for a song, for the kids to drive! The Bolt is less likely to catch fire than the average ICE, so I'm not worried. Sometime in the future I will get a new battery with more range than the original battery!

There have definitely been accidents where people end up in a different position in the passenger compartment due to being thrown around in the accident. I am aware of instances where people end up completely out of their seat even when they were seatbelted. We may never know exactly what...
Meh. Cars wreck and catch fire, killing the occupants regularly. Whether you are in a car that is on fire for 5 minutes or 5 hours, you are dead.
Show me that Tesla is worse than industry average, and maybe I'll care more about these sensationalized stories and posts.
A few years ago, late...
As others said... Meh. I only read the first part, until I got to the point where it said the study ended in 2017. Pretty much all but Tesla EVs had about a 70 mile range until then... Things have changed a lot in the last 4 years, with EVs.
The article is basically complete BS. Well not BS as much as pure imagination. Just some rando's idea of what an Apple Car will be like in 5 and a half decades.
