DINO-fuel vs. Electricity analysis (from a person that drives a ton of miles)

I don't think you'll get 50,000 miles out of those tires. These cars are heavy for passenger car tires and, from what I've learned, expecting 30K is closer to reality.

'Big Short' investor Michael Burry says the Tesla boom is 'remarkably similar' to the dot-com and housing bubbles

There were lots of shorts that died at the 'valuation alter' when looking at Amazon, too. Disrupting companies can't be compared to standard companies.. This statement also sounds a bit desperate since anyone looking at the technology sees Tesla as years ahead of it's competition. 'Burry has...

    Ego Zero Turn Mower

Was looking at them, but with only a 42" cut, it just isn't big enough. Went with a JD instead.

    Ownership?

That's a great question and one that I believe should be studied. There was a study not long ago that indicated Americans pay more than 50% of there income in some sort of tax - income tax, death tax, sales tax, property tax, etc... I'm not sure if those same things apply in those countries...

    Ownership?

I guess the question might be what does it cost? A worker in my office has a sister that moved to Denmark to complete her masters. It's at no cost to her. Now that she's finishing up, I asked if she was coming home or staying in Denmark with her boyfriend... the answer was that she likes it...

    Ownership?

I'd have to disagree again. It is no myth that I can switch gas stations, electronics suppliers, mobile carriers, grocery stores, etc. Roads and water suppliers (which are handled by government-like entities) is a straw-man argument. If it costs you money to switch your insurance carrier, you...

    Ownership?

" No. More choices is not always better. And it's perpendicular to whether something works or not. A private investment is managed for the benefit of its managers, not its customers. A democratic government is beholden to its customers, the voters. " Couldn't disagree more. As a business...

Tesla WON | CAN’T be copied or caught, and are speeding up !!!! GAME OVER

This wasn't so hard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_China (on communism/China) The government of the People's Republic of China (Chinese: 中华人民共和国政府; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó Zhèngfǔ) is collectively the state authority in China under the exclusive political leadership of...

Tesla WON | CAN’T be copied or caught, and are speeding up !!!! GAME OVER

How about all long term politicians are corrupt! There is too much money in politics, leading to corruption. Lets get the money out of politics (term limits, no family employees, remove immunity, make them have the same retirement and insurance, etc) and we should see a change. Anyone that...

    Starlink capabilities?

The congestion refers to too many connections to the satellite that would happen in a more populated area, not the number of people... just to clarify. I think that's what you meant, but just in case. I've been following Starlink for some time and at no time has Elon indicated that the service...

    Starlink capabilities?

As someone that lives semi-rurally (only about 10 minutes from a city) and has very limited Internet options, I hope Starlink goes to rural residential before being used in cars. I had DSL speeds up until about 6 months ago and now have barely better ptp wireless service. Working from home is...

California Bans Sale of New Gasoline-Powered Passenger Vehicles Starting 2035

Maybe the best solution for V2H with the CT is an 'aftermarket' add-on using the power outlets provided in the bed. As far as I know, California is the only state that has this emergency need for power created by the rolling blackouts ( I know there are other emergency scenarios like storms...

California Bans Sale of New Gasoline-Powered Passenger Vehicles Starting 2035

Once ICE car numbers decline and gas sales decline, where are the states/feds going to get that tax revenue? The cost of each gallon of gas includes a considerable percent of tax revenue. For example, in MO, each gallon of gas includes 17.42 cents of state tax and 18.40 cents of federal tax...

New BEV Truck - Hercules Alpha

That site seems a little suspect and the rendering quality is terrible... looks like a high school graphics class project. Hope it's legit, though. More competition is always good.
