  1. ProtectaClear Before and After Photos / Results

One quart of protectaclear is $90, so this is where he's saying the increase is from. Yes the overall kit is cheaper, but not $90 cheaper to make up for the missing quart of coating.
  2. ProtectaClear Before and After Photos / Results

Oh, I see what they did. They made the kit $50 cheaper but removed half of the coating. They must think now that you only need one quart to do the truck. My kit was $300 but came with 2 quarts.
  3. Over 1K Cybertrucks worth of 4680 battery cells were produced at Giga Texas last week!

Yep, that was me. I'm pretty confident in that number. There's no way it's 5:1, and even 8:1 seems less likely as we learn more. But safe range of 8:1-12:1 can be assumed. I could put together a guess of how many they've actually produced but it's hard to know. If we count deliveries I...
  4. Ballistic Glass for Cybertrucks (Bulletproof Windows)

Some people live by the mindset of "better to have it and not need it". I, for example, always carry a flashlight in my pocket. When I started carrying one, I didn't for one second think "well I never carried one before, why would I need to carry one now?" Also, some people may just think...
  5. Ballistic Glass for Cybertrucks (Bulletproof Windows)

Portland, Chicago, San Francisco... lots of places around here that having extra protection would be nice.
  6. ProtectaClear Cybertruck Application Video w/ Before & After Results

My main concern with this method is, when I rinse the BKF off of the panels it will run down onto the black plastic fenders, bumpers, rockers, etc. How would I prevent that from happening? I'm guessing (and someone has already done this) that BKF runoff will discolor the black plastic.
  7. ProtectaClear Before and After Photos / Results

The application video suggests using acetone to clean drips off of the plastic panels. Is this not going to ruin/discolor them?
  8. Introducing ProtectaClear: the smart coating option to protect your 30X stainless steel factory finish

They are asking about the black plastic trim. What happens if either protectaclear or xylene get onto the black plastic fenders.
  9. Introducing ProtectaClear: the smart coating option to protect your 30X stainless steel factory finish

Do you have a source for this? I remember one time reading that tesla was going to make some kind of cleaning/care product, but not that it was going to necessarily be a ceramic coat that actually works (vs the existing products that don't seem to like the porous surface of the stainless). I...
  10. Introducing ProtectaClear: the smart coating option to protect your 30X stainless steel factory finish

So how long would you recommend allowing the truck to cure before driving it? I know it's not exact, but dry to the touch doesn't mean that no road debris will stick to it. Are we talking days or hours at ~72F?
  11. Introducing ProtectaClear: the smart coating option to protect your 30X stainless steel factory finish

Am I understanding correctly that the coating takes 4-5 days to cure, but even further shouldn't be allowed to stay wet until two weeks after application? Also, I can't seem to find information about the recoat times. How long does each coat need to cure before the next coat can be applied...
