Possible feature: Create side panels that allow you to lock the lower area below the seat (and have a way to lock the entire unit into place to prevent theft).
For body repairs (cosmetics/straightforward body damage like a bent lift gate), do you really have to use a Tesla certified repair shop (for a Model Y)? We only have one in a 200+ mile radius of where I live and, unfortunately, I'm in the same situation.
The folks working at GigaFactory 2 in New York will love this news, since that is where they build the SuperCharger units. Hopefully, they will ramp up production even more to make the SuCs as ubiquitous as gas pumps in the future.
They are trying to finish the calendar year with an elevated number of sales. Here in the US, there are EV incentives that will kick in starting in January and Tesla is incentivizing sales in December to prevent too much pent-up demand. There might be something similar happening in the U.K...
Not that this is a true barometer of how fast the ramp is going, but we are taking delivery of a Model Y on the East Coast sometime around the end of the year and the app estimate has been progressively moving the estimated delivery date forward. If a 2023 Model Y is eligible for the tax...
Catching someone trashing your car and getting them to pay for the damages are two different things. Unless you can afford to have a good lawyer on retainer to go after people, it's going to be a headache to manage.
What would be nice would be if you could setup your own "network" of friends that you would trust not to trash your vehicle and allow the RoboTaxi service *only* to that group. The profit would have to be really high for me to want to take my primary vehicle and let complete strangers...

I would add that the folks that I have personally run into that haven't heard of Tesla are typically folks that probably do not spend much (any?) time on the internet, so their Tesla ignorance is more understandable.
Tesla cannot currently meet the demand for their product. They have never run ads and until their supply can exceed demand, they really don't need it. With that said though, many people are still not aware of Tesla BECAUSE they have never seen any ads. There is definitely untapped market...
I have to admit: I would definitely want to be able to specify getting a MY from Austin with the 4680s, even if that were the only differentiator between a MY from CA and one from Austin. The ability to charge at the fastest speed possible (at this point/in the near future), the advantages of...
These are definitely reasons to buy and hold the stock long term. If you are thinking of when to sell the stock and you don't need the cash you have to ask yourself: where else can my money continue to grow as quickly and how much risk are you willing to take that it doesn't grow as much or as...
I still shake my head when I think of the opportunity Toyota snubbed to be right on the coattails of Tesla with EVs. They really wanted hydrogen to take off and diverted a lot of their money/energy into trying to make that happen. I went from a Camry Hybrid to a Model S over 6 years ago. I...
I still have people ask me, when they see the Model S, "What kind of car is that?" and when I tell them, a good number still haven't heard of Tesla. It seems shocking to me that it continues to happen, with Tesla being a trillion dollar company. I guess this is where the lack of...
One way to combat the mental block is to show them the stock value over time and the meteoric rise and then explain all of the unrealized potential the company still has. One of the biggest hang-ups I've seen with folks is the fact that they still think of Tesla as only an "automobile" company...
